I have been using Entrecard, a free blogging network, for how many months already in my other blog. I like it because you can see blogs of your category. When you are new to blogging, you should visit entrecard.com for your traffic idea of your blog. What I like in there is that, you know if one visits you, that means you will also have to visit them back. You could also earn you credits and let you advertise your blog of your choice depending how popular the blog you want to advertise your blog with. If you can afford the price, then you can advertise. The only problem there if the blogger behind the blog will deny your request. So better write a message or it's up to you what's your strategy be.
