My Nostalgia: Danielle

Danielle is a family of my husband. She called my DH as her uncle and my husband couldn't be happier of hearing it. I missed this child every now and then, as I remembered her. She will be turning three years old this September or, she is now two years and five months old. She came here in the house when she was still months old, then sometimes when she's one and on though not as always. I became a witness of her growing. We are good vibes. :-) She likes me than my hubby. Hehe! I am good at getting child's mood, not to brag. We even play each other, she likes running before and I do not know what her likes now. It has been how many months she was not here. I missed her badly. I wonder how she looks now. If only her mother and father (DH son) are in good terms. But I don't loss hope, I can still see her one day.
I felt nostalgic looking at this picture. This was the last time she visited us (DH and I). We played when I took this pic that is why this is blurry taken. She likes to play my phone and sitting on my PC, as if she knows how to type. :-) And I spoiled her, not bad, anyway. Maybe she will be a computer geek someday, hopefully. She is a happy and pretty baby, I can tell. She has a pretty parents anyway. :-))

My Nostalgia #5: Rice Field

*You can enlarge images above by clicking any of them, one at a time*

Rice field was never a biggie deal with me. I mean, I am not excited before going in the rice field. Perhaps that is what I feel because I was not used to walk in rice field while I was young, my paternal grandparents had some area before but where I grew up, as I said I was never been used with it even just going to and fro because we do not have any, just bananas, coconuts and other farm products but not that much. Hehehe! But that time (in the picture) I realized such place is a beautiful place, wide and uncrowded. Made me feel nostalgia and even wants to come there now (again). :-) Images above were taken as we went unto a friend's house to invite for a lunch and I did not know that it was quiet a challenge of going there as her house seems like in the middle of the rice field. Sure, I enjoyed the view but the thought of it is in the middle of the rice field. Well, there are already houses in such rice field though houses are not close to each. That should have to be, right? The developer plan to make that as a subdivision and that is what a friend of mine and her husband thinking that one day soon vehicle and water connection can go in there. Well, just as a thought. I like her location excluding the rice field. Ha! Images above were taken from my sibling's phone and I like such view and such dramatic setting. These pictures made me feel nostalgic and I wanted get it from my sister's phone or forward just like what I do now. Thankfully I managed to save it and share my nostalgic memory to you now.

My Nostalgia #6: 2008 Christmas Cards Received

I love receiving greeting cards especially during Christmas, birthday or sometimes valentines and thanksgiving day for my friends and family circle. But for my DH it is for all occasions like wedding anniversary or some of our personal special moments. ;-) Greeting card with simple yet full of thoughts bring good laughs, smiles and memories for me. I am in "old school" or traditional way when it comes to this, preferred the traditional way, though it does not limit. ;-) I feel special and important when someone special, close family and family circles or friends gives me. I remember I was not that particular way back on my younger years but for now, it really matters though as I said I prefer the "old school" type when it comes to this.

Above greeting cards was I received (together with my DH) about two years ago. Yes, it was December 2008. I remembered my first Christmas or a year before that cards received, was my emotional or should I say the loneliest Christmas I had. Yes, I was with my Dear Husband but there was really something I felt, that I cried discreetly a bucket of tears near the window, yes, without my DH knowing. It was hard when you are miles away with the people you grew-up with and so strange in the place where you live though you are with your other half at first years. Ah, nostalgia! One way to balance my loneliness is to dig-up and read my greeting cards. That is how precious it is because I believe when you give a someone a greeting card, you also giving your smiles with him/her. Imagining and balancing the bad and the good memories, good ones should weight high. :)

My Nostalgia #5: With Video City Co-workers and Salbakuta

I felt nostalgic looking at this picture below. Why? Because seems like I was a humble manager with my attire, oops! Nope, the manager is behind me on that picture-- the one with a long sleeve. I was a trainee such time that was why I was wearing a white shirt with my a name on it - a trainee, that is. That was way back year 2003, whew about seven years had passed but still the memories we had still so fresh on my mind working as a customer service associate. We were very close, just like a family yet just a co-workers. You bet, during inventory day (which happen during last day of the month) we were just like any other close siblings with our laughs and jokes watching some interesting movies or some rated movies, aww.. some kind of kidding with just a fun folks on the latter. ;-) *wink*

Secondly, why I felt nostalgic with this pic? It is because we had with Salbakuta Band that time visiting the store with the signal of our regional head that they will come as our guest. This band that time was an "in-thing" before because their music was a hit, so there were many people inside buying and renting our products as well as outside, glad our security guards managed to control the people. Ooh well some also are just nuisance. We had a lot of pictures taken that time with them, haha! But sadly, I just only had few on my hand right now (not to mention I only had one Salbakuta member with that picture, others were roaming around our store looking something but yes, we had with the complete band member pics but not with my hand). Perhaps I can request with my ex-co-workers. And the last but not the least as I felt nostalgic with this picture because this guy at the left side is already a seaman and make a good money right now, then the short one at the back also make good money -- a stable employee in a telephone company. The two also have the good stable jobs. I missed them. Our jokes, laughs, outings, night-outs, sessions and just some nonsense. I could say, it was a great encounter with them and a great company for just a contractual work, five months but we did a lot of fun while working. We're clicked! Isn't that great? ;-) Ooh I missed them. :(

Nostalgia #4: With Friends at Seagull Valley (Bukidnon-Davao)

Alright, no more NBA to attend to so no more excuses too for nostalgia.. nyahahhah.. joking only nostalgia mates.. heheh.. It was just that I had something to tend to and the mates also did not visit my past nostalgia because I posted it after Thursday.. oops, it was not late because I was able to post it on the inlinkz galore.. lol.. kidding aside.. ooh. no more wrinkles, okay? *wink* ;-) So my entry for today is with friends again. Wow.. you might tell how I like to be with friends huh! Yeah, you are right. Friends are hard to find, they are rare and one of a kind (just those real friends, okay?). :)

This was taken way back 2002 at Seagull Valley, which is located at the heart of Bukidnon and Davao, Philippines. That is a mountain resort, a big beautiful cool zen place. It is one of a kind cool place as it is located at the ridge. When it is morning, you can a see a bunch of fogs and smogs even at the pool. You cannot even see your partner even you are just one meter away when it is morning. Yeah, very cold especially during December time. It is great for honeymooners.. ;-) Ooh well.. Oops! Perhaps you might wonder what we did during that time. It was actually a two-days officers of youth "Sangguniang Kabataan" camp for the city of Valencia. Yes, the three of us are not youth anymore (we were 22) but we belong to the team. So that is it folks.. I had a bunch of images of that time but sadly I gave it to that two close friends of mine and the "negative" or the photo source to be recopied was with me but was not able to take some more copies of it until I forgot to bring it where I am now (currently it was in my hometown, I hope it was still good as my folks said they take good care of it, I hope so). So then, happy nostalgia everyone! :-)

My Nostalgia #3: Big Black Stones, SeaWater, Beach and my Mini-Me

Nostalgia, ooh am nostalgic but lo and behold -- the happy nostalgia. Oops no dramas! Haha.. (just kidding) :-) Yes, I felt the urge to swim on that calm soothing seawater at my back. Sitting on that big black stones while swimming though the scorching heat of the sun is striking. Whenever we can feel the heat, we just have to swim so the heat will be vanished. We will swim until the sun down and the seashore is low. After that, it is time to get some seashells for dinner while watching the sun goes down. Then early in the morning, going again at seashore looking some sea shells again but now it is for decoration. How cool is that? Uh-uh.. the boating sessions are not yet counted on it plus other fun at the beach. Ha!
Makes me feel nostalgic here and makes me go now to my hometown. Yes, my hometown island with just 68 kilometers around. Known for its sweet lanzones, Camiguin, ooh Camiguin. You can only seldom see white sands but just in White Island and Mantigue because of its geographical and nautical location.
Whoops images above taken way back quarter month of 2006 near my grandparents home. It was where I grew up and made seashore with that calm water sea as our playground. It is just only two or three meters away from our house. When it's high tide or the sea seems growling, (like the hungry stomach) seawater went to our seawall but when it is calm, we just like to dive in and had fun. Oops by the way, don't laugh at my pics especially the second one (you can enlarge photos should you like to do so) because I was somewhat like sleepy that time. Hahah! No way, hi way! ;-)

Happy nostalgia! By the way, I would like to again, great a very happy birthday to the nostalgia head, manang Rose.. Happy birthday again, manang kow.. muahhh!

My Nostalgia #2: Friendships

Seems like my first nostalgia was about friendships and classmates and now it's another friendships moments.. You may tell am longing for friendship moments again huh.. ;-) yep, you are right though am already contented of your virtual friendships but we also need some moment outside.. ooh well, since DH not fond of hanging outside, perhaps when he's already retired (hopefully very soon). So apparently, I need some outside boost to free up some air in my lungs.. aw.. ;-) Okay, today here's my entry {you can enlarge photos by clicking it, should you like to do so):
Above was taken at that lady who has necklace birthday two years ago at their own home in La Puente, West Covina. Perhaps I felt nostalgic too with this pic because days from now it will be her birthday again and we'll be having a get-together (again).. ;-) I am looking forward to it. By the way, in span of two years there were a lot changed. The celebrant has already a daughter who is about six months old, that stripe lady there sitting also has a baby (boy) who is older than the celebrant's baby, then that another strip at the left near the lavender lady (me) is already an LVN and has left and right job for now and also continuing her studies to become a registered nurse. And me? Hemmm.. perhaps there's also change but not that a lot, I guess.. no baby still.. lol.. Ooh well, you gotta live with my motto of "come what may" Haha! No objection please.. *wink*... ;-)
And above? was taken more than a year ago which was the time that the lady handle the microphone (bessy Au) was still on her preggy moment.. ooh yeah, that was holy week time last year, ooh well instead of having a nostalgic moment we then had our karaoke.. haha! Well, it's been okay in the country we are now. It's no biggie deal.. :) By the way that lady at the center is also a blogger named "Analou" perhaps you knew her, an author of the blogs: "The Shadows of Our Past and the Silhouette of our Future" , " A Place to Remember" and her new "Unwrapping Man-made and Natural Wonders". We really had a great time together... :)

That's all folks, right now am watching NBA Western Conference with Los Angeles Lakers versus Phoenix Arizona of their game five match, so far the game is a jaw-dropping intense game.. am loving it! That is why also I can't dig or scan my other past nostalgic photos.. ooh well, are we having fun yet? Ha! Who's your bet? Have a great happy momentous nostalgia folks.. smile.. :) ~hugs&kisses~

My Nostalgia #1: College Mates, Etc.

I am feeling nostalgic just imagining my college mates and our fun before up to the time that we graduated. Mostly my "ka-berks" college mates/friends, were all same schedules of our subjects (or we just had our meeting before we enrolled so we could went to school and got the same ones as others), yep, that's how we were as close as can be. ;-) We bonded like band-aids.. Haha! Those were the days... so much fun, lots of strolls but we cared more on our studies too (of course). Most of the time, we shared our assignments answers to each other so no one got behind, sometimes even in our exams. Waaa.. ;-) Oops, I also made sure that I got into top five in our class. *winkz* Also, we had our "eating galore" together and each other gave or share, it's not that expensive though. We can settled for "pancit"(lumi) or special noodles, bread and coke in Panadero Bakery and Eatery which was just so close to our school or just in other bakery or eatery which served some meat and stuffs like that enough to settled our hungry stomachs after lessons. Ooh well.. I could go on and on. ;-) For now, it came up to my mind an image below which was the time after we had our fourth-year (last year) recollection.
After recollection pic, in front of our college school with our guest recollection professor and school moderator: Sister Raphael Amante

And right after our picture-taking, off we went to Musuan Peak with mostly all of our class (no professors, just students). Below was some of our pictures at the top of Musuan Peak. That was so much fun! :-)
some of my "ka-berks"/close classmates/friends at Musuan Peak

Below was our school, that image was our college building image inside the campus way back 2001. For sure, there are improvements nowadays. School mates said we already have our own gymnasium, etc. Our school by the way is composed of high school and college courses buildings and day care up to elementary its annex which is separated just five to ten meters away.
part of SAIT college building

Again, I could go on and on but I would just stop this way. More next time.. Ha! ;-)
