iPhone's GPS Comes in Handy

Smartphone indeed. It has a lot of feature which comes handy. Just like built-in GPS through Maps App, and many more that you can just download in a snap then, it is there in a heart bit! We used to have Garmin GPS but it requires upgrade, which is a normal thing, but the husband doesn't like it. Let alone you have to pay to have it upgraded. He is always on the traditional map, the paper way, an old school one. He is master on it. I guess, because he is a mapper by line of work although he now uses a computer to make maps, isn't it odd? Or just a norm? Whatever it is, if one is comfortable with it then go for it. But that's not where the story goes. Ha! Okay, the wife is the only one who uses iPhone, tech-person, maybe? And so, because the husband saw his wife often in dealing with GPS through the Maps in the smartphone, he was interested of knowing it, of how to use it! And lo and behold, you guess it right, he has become addicted to it that anywhere we go, he is always dependent on it. Why? That is because it gives correct and shortcut information what way to go. It gives an estimate how many minutes to arrive in the destination, even when not in driving, just a foresee. It is FREE. And he don't need to put a big book of map on his lap while driving, but only a little device (the phone) which directs by voice! Isn't it that amazing? It is impressive, isn't it? (You just need to have a reliable phone company provider for the signal, which is common sense, of course.)

Are you a Techie?

There are people who are tech [y] [ie] and there are also those who are not tech [y] [ie]. If I am the one whom you will ask, nope, I am not that techie. I may know some stuffs but not all. I got it through experience and I also study. Truth to be told, technology is running fast paced. We have to keep up in order to level-up or at least we know the basic thing. Ignorance is a cruel word so we strive hard to get rid of it. You know.

If there are technology jobs to be done in my websites, I try to solve it on my own. However, if time is running out, I just pay someone to do it, the quickest and easiest option. There are many advantages if you are a techie (technologically knowledgeable) person. You can work at your own pace, with your own style and it seems that working your ideas is never ending. I admire people who can just tweak and edit the design of their websites given any time. Maybe one day, I will also try to explore that area. I know there is no time in trying and time is gold, so let's see how far can we go, isn't it? We must learn how to use time management. Good luck to us. Ooh time! :-)

Plane Mode Charge Fast and Conserves Battery

I already know that Turning-ON Airplane Mode button for iPhone and iPad, conserves battery. Meaning it slows down the battery life consumption. The con is it would turn-off the Wi-Fi ability. But still you can do anything but Wi-Fi data activity.

I heard lots of complains about iPhone slow charging "thing". And yes, as to my experience, it does. What I did if I like it to charge fast, I got the iPad charge and had it do its task = it works like magic! Don't you like to try it? Tell me about it, then!

And so, just recently, I am into turning-on the button of plane mode in my iPhone (don't feel  bad if you read this randomly and you don't have iPhone or iPad and yet you have Plane Mode capability, then this is also for you!) when I charge it. Before I have this apple phone, I use to turn-off my mobile if I charge it, this way it relaxes the phone and speeds-up its charging. With iPhone, even if I turn it off, it still turn-on if it has its battery. So instead of doing it, I just turn-on the plane mode button and not bother to turn it off completely unless if I have a lot of time chasing the charge phone.

Also, don't forget to have the plane mode ON when you're about to go sleep for the alarm, or better yet, turn your phone off, so it could completely.

So, which is which? The good thing is there's an great option, isn't it? Have a great day!

SMARTwatch the Next to See

Time is gold, the most common line you can hear from a busy person or someone who is on a rush. I can only see James Bond years ago using his watch to blow the time-bomb (of course, in a movie) and now there's this another interesting thing. Ooh well, what would we expect then? Technology inventions run fast! A person uses watch to check time every now and then. Some people use their mobile phones in checking the time, listen to music in their mobile phones and even updates on their favorite social networking site. But have you realized that getting your phone every now and then to check updates and even just time is too bulky and time consuming?

One of the gadgets arising nowadays is what we call the Smartwatch, yes you read it right. With this portable but efficient gadget, you may be able to check your time in an instant, updates of your emails, social networking, play music and can even be used for your health, counting the kilometers of run. This can be used through Bluetooth or an application designed for compatibility to any of its source.

Interesting, isn't it?

Wireless is In!

The technology of today brings a lot of changes from the size down to its usability, just like how the speakers of before and now. The speaker of yesterday was really different, it was big, huge and expensive. It has a lot of wires to fix, power to consider not to mention battery operated non portable ones. The generations of before of the so called Dot Com generation, experienced such. But the generation of today can already declare it as History.

The speakers of today including headsets that we are using are now called wireless, which means it could be battery operated, Bluetooth or even rechargeable. Memory cards are just plugged in to the device and in an instant you can now enjoy the rhythm of today and the ballad of yesterday. Or you can play the music on your Laptop and connect it with via Bluetooth, you can now roam around your place without worrying the strings of your device but just the distance of your Bluetooth headset from the laptop.

Awesome, isn't it? We have choices.

Tips For Cleaning Camcorders

To clean the lens surface, first blow off dust with a blower brush. Then, to remove any smudges or fingerprints, gently wipe the lens surface with a piece of lens cleaning paper or a clean cotton cloth moistened with a drop or two of lens-cleaning fluid. These are available at camera stores). Clean in a spiral motion from the center outward.

A noisy picture during playback can be caused by an incorrectly set tracking control, by clogged video heads, or by a circuit failure. Preferably, video head cleaning should be performed by a qualified service technician. An alternate solution is to use a head-cleaning cassette, but only when necessary. Cautiously use the cleaning cassette in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If the cleaning tape doesn’t restore the picture in a few tries, professional servicing may be necessary.

How a Simple Tablet Affects People

During the 90’s tablet was used as a term for medicine. And computers had separate Monitor and System unit/Tower with spaghetti wires behind. But during the year 20’s, tablet has a new definition and computers has a new look.

Going Digital

Can you remember when did the digital age really started? I tried researching it and it came out that it's slowly started in 1980. It is called the Digital revolution – the change from analog mechanical and electrical technology. This change is present since the 80’s and is still obviously felt now and I think it will be on until the years to come.

For the young, they have fully embraced the change but for some, there was the feeling of resistant. But as time went on, those who were resistant did try to accept the fact of change so for now, they are also enjoying the digital stuff like – cellular phones, computers, the internet, and many more. As said, digital age makes us closer to one another but then there’s irony to that, digital age makes us closer to our gadgets than to people. Digital machines allow a company to hire less manpower compared to mechanical where manpower strength is needed to keep an operation going.

I believe there are lots of advantages as well as disadvantage when change comes in. Do you agree to this idea?

Smartphone of Today, the Dream of Yesterday

When I was a kid, I don't have a phone. Then come college, I used to play with my cousin’s Nokia 3310 a black and white pure four liner text phone, which was considered as one the greatest phones ever during the time. To compare it today, I think if one has it, no one will admit. Or, do you?

To compare with the phones of today, like the iPhone 5 (the coming iPhone 5S, iPhon 5C),Samsung Galaxy S4’s Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen, HTC One’s amazing chassis with a lot of camera tricks, and first to introduce a Wireless charging phone that has a Windows 8 Operating System, Nokia Lumia 920 has it.

Yet to compare the real purpose of the phone which is to communicate with people through calls and texts, you cannot deny that the meat of the phones today are really in a distance of yesterday. Now, you can check your emails anywhere you are, chat with friends with the different social networking sites, endless updates with your photos, whereabouts and even the current event of your live sharing to our dear relatives and friends at far, and yes even free calls using Viber and Skype right from your phone anywhere you are provided you have the same type of phone. We don't need pc anymore to call from such. Smartphone can do!

But what we have now is not what will be forever, for improvements are still infinite when it comes to cameras, processors, batteries and even how we manipulate it. We might not know, the advance of technology in movies might be the reality in few years time.

iPad WiFi Turned-Off While Watching YouTube Video?

My daughter has iPad4. She uses it everyday, for an allocated time. Yes, you got it right, not all of the time in a day. And aside from watching the Apps I downloaded free or with payment from Apple business partners, I also use YouTube for her nursery rhymes and phonics songs as well as videos of toddlers eating independently as she's into eating as of this time. I love it when it has lyrics because I can also go with the flow of singing since it has lyrics. As of this time, she just listen as she's still familiarizing, though some she can already mimic, well, that few familiar ones.

I also like it in YouTube because it has nursery rhymes that it continues playing like 20-30 songs most. Then at times, it just stop because the wifi is turned-off. What's the solution?

The very simple way to solve that problem is to turn-on or connect the WiFi in the Settings. If it won't solve the problem, try to turned-off (yes, tap the "off" button in the WiFi section) and wait like 20 seconds then turn back on. It should work that way. I assume there's no problem with your Internet in your area, let alone your Internet speed should not be lower than 18 mbps or else there's a possible chance that your video streaming will going to have a problem, that's why you've got that problem.

Personal Video Recorders

I love personal video recorders, which allow you to record television shows and movies onto a computer hard drive rather than videotape, at the same level of quality as the original program. Some have one called ReplayTV which is made by well-known companies like Samsung, Sony and Panasonic, etc. What makes PVRs so neat is they do the thinking for you. You tell it what kind of shows you are interested in, and it does the rest. Let’s say you love “MTV countdown”. You just tell the PVR you like “MTV weekend countdown” and it finds the last week MTV countdwon and records them. PVRs also allow you to pause a live TV show, say to answer a phone call, and then resume watching the show when you want. It also allows you to skip commercials more easily than a VCR. Personal Video Recorder is really remarkable.

Your iPhone Don't Charge at First Time Use?

Yes, it could be possible that at first time use in charging it, it won't charge. Why? What's wrong with it? Or is there any technical defect? Or something?

Those maybe your questions upon knowing that your iPhone doesn't charge for the first time and you need to know how to solve the problem. Any ideas? Okay, those were also my questions when I had my iPhone 5 charged but it didn't does its job. And so I have to check the manual first if anything that shows there that I missed or, maybe there's something special thing to do first, than any other smartphones but no, nothing special. Meanwhile, I had to ask Google any thoughts, scouring any ideas and possible solution about such but nothing, just the same of what I had in mind. And so, I had to recheck back the wire and there you go, I found it! The problem??? --- was I had push hard the wire attach to the head that goes to the switch when you charge it. And problem solved, hooray!

So try also doing what I did as a resource, that might also solve your problem why it doesn't charge. Just sharing. Anyway, just also want to great everyone here in America, a Happy Independence Day! Today we commemorates the birth of America's Independence Day so, have a great and awesome day! :)

Rebtel for Communicating Friends and Family through Mobile Line

Do you know what Rebtel is? Do you have love-ones abroad? Do you use to call using your regular phone?

Well, I am not promoting Rebtel but a friend of mine is using this. I am also using it for couple of months already and I can say, it does its job and doesn't get minutes if you are not using it. This rebtel works very well. If you are new, upon registration you can have 5 minutes free call. Wow, isn't it? Aside from low cost of loads, the signal is perfect too. I am calling using a local number which Rebtel programmed. If I call, I dial directly from my phone and Rebtel connect it directly without me waiting. And they can accept payment through PayPal. So this is cool. Why not try, eh? If you want to sign-up, you can even go directly to the Rebtel's website unless if  you want to sign-up on my referral which you can go through here:  http://www.rebtel.com/u/02368233262 (that would be 5 bucks for me, but as I said you can go directly to their website without using my referral). Just let me know if you have any questions.

I will stop maybe buying loads using cards 'coz it cost a bit for me and it deducts day to day after using it, without me doing the call. I am one satisfied Rebtel customer.

Isn't technology, awesome? It is now very handy to connect family and friends even if how many miles of far are of each other. Great!

Home Theater

People are going to the movies less and watching movies at home more. One of the ideas of that is, they were doing that in a home theater. Everyone is looking to duplicate the incredible sound you hear in the movie theater.

When making a home theater, I thought most people start with the TV. But I have learned that you should start with the sound system. Don’t worry about the technical specifications. Just listen to how it sounds in the store. Most people won’t be able to discern differences in quality between a good, modestly priced system and a super-expensive one.

You also have to be mindful of the room. A den usually works best. Most movie theaters are rectangular, because that’s the best for the acoustics. It would be hard to create a home theater in a very open room. You can have a fantastic audio-video system in your home without spending a fortune if somebody at home knows how to set up the right equipment.

How to get Started On the Internet

Twenty years ago, few people had even heard of the Internet. Today, it is an integral part of the lives of millions, young and old, at home and at work. Recent estimates put the number of cyberspace users worldwide at more than 600 million or probably more, and project nearly half a billion will be online within five years. If you are not already among them, you are missing one of the most significant communications revolutions ever to shake the planet.

The Internet literally places all the information resources of the world at your fingertips. You can use the Internet to find and communicate with people who share your interests, talk to family and friends using Skype and Facebook, etc. Until you explore the World Wide Web, you cannot begin to comprehend the breadth or depth of all it offers. There is really not much required. All you need is a system, a connection, ideas, resources and curiosity.

Simpler, Faster, Safer Delivery at Lazada Philippines

In your own thoughts and idea, what do you think is the difference between the Starmobile Hit and Starmobile Enegry? They almost have the same looks, but there is a little difference when it comes to their features. The latter has more exciting features compared to the first one. In addition, Starmobile Hit is cheaper than the Starmobile Energy. To sum it up, these two gadgets are hit in the Filipino market, and surprisingly, Lazada offers a good deal. I am currently living here in the U.S. of A, and it won't stop from shopping a device, or gadget, etc. ( as you know it is like learning it keeps improving and evolving)  at this online store. I can shop from here and deliver my order to my family back home whenever I feel the need to. I was actually choosing between a Cherry Mobile tablet and Haipad tablet. But when it comes to the prices, the latter is cheaper (or shall I say the cheapest in Lazada store). I wanted to surprise my family with this gadget, maybe one day. They can download music, watch movie, play online games, surf the Internet, and a lot more. I have read some of the testimonies of their customers, and they have the same statement when it comes to the delivery of the product. So, I am not worried if I shop any product at this very well-known online store in the Philippines. In fact, I just had my first order and my family is satisfied of it, though there's one order which is of wrong size, but that is just fine because I had been given alternative like it's free shipping to return or exchange especially that it is not my fault. So overall, I like this store and I even love it! :)

Buying a Computer

Computers have become a common feature in many households. Whether you already have one in your home or are a first-time buyer, navigating the computer marketplace can be overwhelming. But, armed with great ideas and the knowledge of what you need as you thought imagining it would be, with good sources of information and a few good buying tips, you can get a great deal on the right computer.

To help you figure out what hardware you would need, think about what you would be doing with the processor. Are you using it for work, play, desktop publishing, or as an educational tool for children? For example: if you want to have Internet access, you would need a good modem. If you want to play games or use multimedia educational programs, your sound and video needs will increase.

A good way to get an idea of the computing power you would need is to visit a computer store and read the minimum requirements on the sides of software boxes that interest you.

Fast Internet Connection is A Must

If you're doing something in the computer, especially if it's important, fast Internet connection is very important.

If you thought, it is not a must, then you're wrong! That is because how could you do such if you're connection is just like a snail steps.

Alright. I can relate to that way, way back when I was still using my laptop and it's faraway from our router as well as we didn't upgrade the speed. Now (we actually upgrade it wayback 2011), it's faster, from 12 mbsps to 18 mbps. Streaming videos and watching in YouTube at the same time browsing Internet as well as browsing in my iPhone and iPad at the same time.

It does wonders. I am not dismayed (or even cried) anymore because of the slow Internet connection. I thought, upgrading it is worth it and yes, it really is! I'm a happy camper! I'm just sad of my friend because she has bad connection. :(

Digital Cameras

Like most new consumer electronics and gadgets items, digital cameras were very expensive when they first came out. But now they are remarkably affordable. I have seen in most resources for two hundred bucks or less, you can get a quality digital camera that will do everything you want it to. Look for a camera with a resolution of 2.1 megapixels, or higher, the level of picture clarity that’s fine for most uses. A thought of a professional photographer might need a higher resolution than that, but unless you are a pro, you won’t.

What is really important idea with a digital camera is how easy it is to use. However, there are still people doesn’t know how to use digital camera so it ended up on collecting dust on the shelf because people get too frustrated with the owner’s manual to use them. I guess, it is better to get a camera that a child could pick up and use, and it should make it easy to transfer your pictures to a computer to store or print.

The Use of Viber

I was wondering what Viber is. I just don’t pay any attention for that because I did not really know what that was. I heard people talking about viber, until I bought my phone and I saw the Viber on my phone’s App or marketplace.  I tried installing it, and I ‘am so satisfied and happy whilst using it, amazing! Thanks to all my friends who also gave inputs after I asked from them, they're awesome ones!

Through Viber App, I can call those people and relatives so far away for free provided they have Viber too. So it a Viber to Viber case, you can send message for free all over different countries, you can also customized it by putting backgrounds to your Viber page.

So if you are not yet enjoying viber, check that application now and you will surely be happy you did it. As to my experience, I am satisfied in many ways.
