How To Transfer a Blogspot Blog to a Domain Blog

This resources comes from my own experience through the help of blogger.com . Okay, the scenario is you now have a blogspot blog up and running. Yet you are not satisfied and you want it to go to higher level (which is good) and that is to have a domain. Remember that you have to pay yearly for your domain. If not, then your blog will not be visible in the world wide web until you will renew it (or worse, you cannot access it no more, maybe not. Tip* be sure to renew your domain before it's expiry renewal date). For now, the cost of it is ten dollars per year. And also, if you are Alexa concern, expect that your Alexa tool will be again from scratch, meaning your visitors statistics will be high again like the first day you run your blog. Anyway, Alexa is from Google tool that will show only show your statistics if your are using Mozilla browser. You will know further if what is this as we go along. So now here are the steps how to transfer your blogspot blog to domain blog(remember to get ready your credit or debit card to use it to purchase):

  1. In your dashboard, click the Settings tab.
  2. Then, click the publishing.
  3. After that, Switch to Custom Domain by clicking the word "Domain"
  4. Supply the desired letters or word(whichever you like for your domain URL) in the blank and check for availability. If not available then try another. If it is available, then register it by following the directions.
  5.  After successfully registered your domain, your blog will then be known for its unique URL or its domain name. You may wait for 3 days to fully redirected.
By the way, you can still have your blog reverted back (from domain to blogspot) if you do not like it to have the domain anymore but your readers will be lost unless you will inform them individually.
