SoCal Will Be Hit by Series of Powerful Storms

Southern California, U.S.A. is expecting to be hit by series of powerful storms approximately beginning this night (Sunday, January 17) and coming Tuesday then becoming stronger rainfall on Wednesday and Thursday. Major roads from the upper Los Angeles National Forest where wildfire wrecked Los Angeles last summer(2009) were already closed run through 250 square miles from the affected burned areas. This is for security purposes and the California Highway major road will be closed (according to California Highway Patrol) when rain gets heavy as forecasters expect. Rainfall will range from four to eight inches in coastal and valley areas for the week, and as much as 20 inches in some foothill and mountain areas. For more info and details, check it in here (KTLA news).

As of today here in my place (East Los Angeles), rainfalls are already showing aside from rainshowers lately that made my husband decide just to buy ready to eat foods for the dinner which we planned to went to the store late afternoon lately. It was cloudy and to think that we still have some stock, we will then plan tomorrow since the expected rainfall probably will stop tomorrow and presumed on Tuesday. I hope there won't be major problem beyond the planned precautions. Haiti is still struggling, let Southern California spared for major damages not by earthquake but this forecasted series of rainstorm.
