Sony Ends Production Of Playstation 2

PlayStation 2 is one the best gaming consoles of Japan based tech company Sony. Just recently, they stopped its production of the said console thus creating rumors that the company is on its way of manufacturing PlayStation 4. The end of production doesn’t mean that there will be no more games for PS2 as the production of the latter will continue. For the record, there are approximately 11,000 games made for the console and still counting. PS2 became the best selling console of all time and opened doors for significant breakthroughs in the field of entertainment gadgets. PS2 is the main reason why most of the movies these days are in DVD formats basically because the games are in the same format as well. The cessation of the production already started in Japan and the other manufacturing countries will follow in the coming months. PS2 will surely be missed but for those who are still having their old consoles, just take care of it as you maybe one day you won’t be able to buy brand new replacements in the future (or not).
